WHO WE ARE
On March 1st, 2001, Steve, Sue and Amy became the proud owners of Cameron's. Their business grew quite rapidly. They were excited to offer a wide variety of custom upholstery, occasional and dining tables, barstools, wall art, lamps and a wide variety of home decor. Their personal favorite are the little, "gotta have, can't live without" accent pieces of furniture, consoles, bombes, and accent chests. In 2002, they added Children's furniture and accessories to the mix. Their goal was to be the one stop for families to meet their home furnishings and decor needs from baby to adult. Each one of the Tominia's posess unique strengths that have led to their success. Amy enjoys spending time with the customers. She has an uncanny ability to remember customers and always make them feel at home in the store. She also has a knack for purchasing items that keep the customers coming back for more. In fact, if Cameron’s had an open check book, she could buy forever. Her favorite thing in the world is to attend markets and spend way too much money. Each time she returns from a show, she is instantly on Cameron's email sending them a note about all the great finds. Market trips with Amy go hand in hand with giving Steve a major headache, dreading the bills.

Speaking of bills, that is Steve's responsibility. Steve takes care of the day-to-day operations of Cameron's business.

He is always looking after that yucky word, "cash flow." On any given day, you can also find Steve upstairs in his "world" in the children's department. He is very enthusiastic about their children's furniture line, and loves selling it.

Sue, is definitely, the "artsy" one.  As new décor arrives she displays it perfectly.  She has recently discovered a fabulous talent of arranging florals.  She takes great pride in working with customers and making sure the buy exactly what the want and need. Don’t miss the store at Christmas time. Her trees are honestly the best in the Kansas City area. She always has a minimum of 6 fully decorated trees, each with a unique theme.  

Another huge factor in the success of Cameron's is their amazing, fabulous staff: Linda, Kathy, Heather, Barb and Sylvia.  It truly is like one big family you know, you laugh, you cry and of course, you pick on each other.  Just imagine how it is for Steve.  It’s him versus 7 women.  You should come in on a Tuesday, when it goes to the extreme...poor guy.

The girls are all very self-motivated, and treat the business as if it is their own.  They are all very knowledgeable and just love to spend customers money helping them make their house a home.
Cameron's delivery gentlemen also recognize that they are also an extension of Cameron's superior customer service. They are always kind and respectful when visiting a home.
